TRAVELLERS INFORMATION
Arriving in a strange country can sometimes be quite overwhelming, but with Kimidar Tours you need have no worries! Prior to passing through passport control and immigration you will be met by one of Kimidar Tours representatives who will assist you with immigration formalities, Visa on arrival (please check regarding visa on arrival requirement and cost). Kimidar Tours representative will help you with luggage collection and will be escorting you through the customs before transferring you to your chosen hotel.

PASSPORT & VISA:
Egypt requires an entry Visa, along with a valid passport for at least 6 month from date of return. Visas will be issued upon arrival in Egypt for passengers holding U.S / Canadian, European, UK, GCC Passport. Passengers with other passports (need to check with Kimidar Tours the possibility) or must obtain a visa in advance through the Egyptian Consulate. We do not accept any responsibility for failure to comply with visa and passport regulations. You should check first with your embassy and the Egyptian consulate for the appropriate information.

CUSTOMS:

You are advised to register Video Cameras on the customs declaration form and passport on arrival. Customs officials will usually examine luggage upon arrival and departure. The following items can take into Egypt duty free (per person): 50 Cigars, 200 cigarettes, 250 grams of loose tobacco; 1 liter of liquor or wine.

CURRENCY:
The Egyptian monetary unit is the Egyptian Pound ( EGP OR L.E. ) 1 Egyptian pound is divide into 100 Piaster Pounds : 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 Piaster: 5, 10, 25, 50 Money can be changed at the airport banks, any bank, or at your hotel, according to the official rate of exchange

CREDIT CARDS:

Major credit cards are acceptable at hotels, Restaurants, shopping malls; shops were you will find the Credit Cards sign. Please note that using Credit Cards for payment a handling fee will be added, the hotel/ Restaurant/ shop will advise you at the time of purchasing goods/or paying for service, according to the Credit card used. Personal cheques are not acceptable.

CLIMATE AND CLOTHING:

Egypt is a desert land and therefore has a climate that is mainly hot and dry. The climate varies considerably according to the season; the summer month (June to August) can be somewhat hot with strong sunshine. In the evening, however a considerable drop in temperature. All year, except for the winter months, light warm outfits, cotton clothes are preferable in summer. The sun can be quite strong especially in Upper Egypt, we recommend that you take your hat, sunglasses, sun block, comfortable shoes are a must especially for sightseeing tours, and a light wrap for the evenings. During winter month recommend woollen clothes. Nile cruises: Dress code is elegant casual.

HEALTH:
A few sensible precautions should ensure that you enjoy a trouble-free vacation. Travelling long distance, the change of water, a varying climate and time changes can all upset your system. We suggest drinking mineral water which is inexpensive. Eat only cooked food and fruits, vegetables that can be peeled. Avoid ice in drinks. Good health care is available in Egypt, but just in case you are on a prescribed course of treatment, we recommend that you take sufficient medicine for your entire stay.

VOLTAGE:
The voltage in Egypt is 220 AC. 50 cycles. Wall plugs are the round, tow-pronged European type. It is most important to bring adapter plugs. Please note most American appliances will need transformers.

TIPPING:
